Ma quante sono le potenzialità di camelia sinensis? Già perché gli studi in merito continuano ad aumentare…proprio come per la curcuma del resto…
Si tratta solo di studi preliminari ovviamente, che nulla possono ancora dirci di definitivo, ma le possibilità di impiego nella prevenzione (e chissà, forse in futuro anche nel trattamento) di molti malanni per la nostra salute pare non smettano di affiorare.
Di poche settimane fa (22 settembre 2012) lo studio che mostra una interessante capacità del tè verde nella modulazione della produzione di IgE in processi allergici. Già nota da un decennio poi la possibile azione protettiva dai melanomi, mentre largamente provata sembra essere l’azione antiossidante del tè verde.
Ma la ricerca non si ferma (eccezion fatta per l’Italia pare!), e nuove evidenze ci confermano grandi potenzialità del tè verde soprattutto se associato ad altre straordinarie sostanze naturali che potrebbero, se aggiunte quotidianamente in cucina o nella nostra alimentazione in generale, elevare in modo significativo la protezione da malattie tipicamente legate all’invecchiamento. Tra tali straordinarie sostanze compaiono molti noti antiossidanti tra cui la cannella, la cui azione ipoglicemizzante è stata ampiamente dimostrata.
Non meno importante poi l’azione antivirale ben documentata da quasi dodici anni. Nel 2000 infatti venne dimostrata in modo chiaro la capacità di camelia sinensis di inibire le infezioni causate da H1N1 nonché da H3N2, (Biosci Biotechnol Biochem. 2000 Jan;64(1):184-6.Inactivation of human type A and B influenza viruses by tea-seed saponins. Hayashi K, Sagesaka YM, Suzuki T, Suzuki Y.), due virus comunemente diffusi nel corso della stagione invernale. Questi studi non andrebbero certo dimenticati soprattutto ora, quando i primi freddi iniziano a farsi sentire e la necessità di proteggersi efficacemente dal rischio di infezioni virali aumenta.
Abbiamo a disposizione una autentica miniera di sostanze preventive che potrebbero assicurarci una vita più longeva ma soprattutto in salute….. ma perchè non ne approfittiamo?
